RARE STERLING SILVER ENGRAVED PUFFY HEART LOCKET PENDANT

SIZE: 1.375 INCHES HIGH BY 1.375 INCHES WIDE BY .625 INCH THICK

Photographs can barely do justice to the sweet elegance of this rare Engraved Puffy Heart Locket Pendant in .925 sterling silver. (Click to enlarge the photos shown here.) A plump puffed heart is engraved on both sides with sinuous swirls and cross-hatchings framed by a double-dotted border. The grooves of the swirls and cross hatchings are slightly darkened by a deliberate process of partial oxidization to enhance contrast. This precious heart really opens to hold a photo (or two) or other tiny love memento, and it has sizable rims on both sides to hold pictures firmly in place. It is very unusual to find a puffy heart that also is a locket. Lockets are a delightful form of jewelry that has never gone out of style.

Quality and beauty of workmanship are evident from every angle of this exceptionally pretty heart locket pendant, which bears the hallmark 925 inside. It measures approximately 1-3/8 inches high (excluding the hanging loop) by 1-3/8 inches wide by 5/8 inch thick. With the hanging loop, it measures approximately 1-5/8 inches high.
