OLD BRONZE TORTOISE FIGURINE

The tortoise is sacred and much loved by the Chinese as a symbol of longevity, stability, strength, support and endurance. It is an important and powerful symbol of landscape Feng Shui and is the best icon of longevity as it is believed to live up to 3000 years and therefore is extremely popular with those who seek to live a long and healthy life. This particular tortoise figurine is probably made from heavy bronze metal or something similar to it. It's body is covered with engravings of buddhist sutras.
