Great little smile on this old German bisque pig. He has his hooves crossed in front of him as he stands on his rear legs. Not sure if this was some sort of nodder or what his entertainment was that he provided. There is a small string with a knot on each end that runs from his head through his bottom. Then there is a small hole near his mouth which looks like the thread ran through there or another was there as well, let me know please if you know exactly what he was! He is quite the baffling little piggy!

Circa/Year: 1890's to 1910's.

Measurements: Slightly under 2.5" tall x about 1.25" x about 1.25"

Label/backstamp: Incised on backside above and around the tail (sorry, flash wahsed out it): Germany 26 (tail) 95

Material: Porcelain.

Condition: Very tight andold hairline on back area and a small chip at the base of his head. Small chip on his neck which you have to look for, could be a manufacturing flaw. Cold paint has worn off.
