Lovely handmade card of pink silk flowers with green leaves and a stamp. Upper left hand corner has a red and black stamp and a string of gold runs across the spine. It comes with a typed letter given when this was purchased in Clayton, MO. It reads in black ink:
Silk Art
"Silk Art," is rich in Orienatl color and represents a phase of elegance in Ancient China (about 700 A.D.) and later flourished in Japan.
Ladies of the court, found creating silk an easy way to pass the time, in their languid, royal life style.
First, a piece of white silk is cut into squares of various sizes, impregnated with dyes and pressed into dimensional forms of flowers, leaves and animals. Then, through ingenious composition, a vivid picture, with a touch of elegant, profound and tranquil contemplation, unfolds. This is "Silk Art.".

Circa/Year: I believe that this was from the late 1960's to mid 1970's based on the dates on other items acquired from an estate box lot.

Measurements: 5" x 7".

Label/backstamp: None.

Material: Parchment card stock and silk.

Condition: Very little crimping on corners, card is unused, flowers are nice and clean. String has dug in slightly into the ends of the spine. Card is usable or you can cut nicely and this would be stunning matted and framed.
