Pretty Batik cloth

  • Personal purchase from Bangkok, when I visited the Klong Toey slum, where the Duang Prateep foundation is located.

  • Here's an article written by a blogger about the Klong Toey slum in Bangkok http://insearchofbangkok.blogsome.com/2005/07/07/journey-into-klong-toey-slum/
  • Wasn't cheap as this was sold by the foundation's shop to raise funds for the slum.
  • This is batik on a slightly thicker and better fabric than the usual batik sarongs (which are made of rayon), but I'm not sure of the fabric content as there are no labels.
  • New and has been lying folded in my cabinet, as I can't decide on a usage for it.
  • Could be used as a hanging, table covering or even as a sarong if you like.
  • Very unusual prints.
  • I am throwing in free local unregistered mail for this as it's my personal purchase. Pls add $2.25 if you require registered mail.
