Vintage Gama Bulldozer / Tractor, Trailer, and Box

This auction is for a vintage Gama battery operated tin litho tractor with trailer and box. The tractor is about 7.5 inches long.  It says "Gama made in Western Germany" on the back. Treads are intact, but with some age cracking to them; litho is in very good condition with only light paint wear, particularly to the bogey wheel covers. The little pin that holds the trailer on to the hitch is still there. Don't know if the driver is original, but he came with the piece. I have my doubts about the motor - I tried to hook up a battery, could not get it to work - I think that the motor might be a replacement - if you turn the tractor over you see empty tab slots, and there is no fixture to hold a battery in place (just two leads coming off the motor). So - I don't know if it works, and I have doubts about the originality of the motor itself. Trailer is in good condition, two rust spots inside of the bed, but tires and operating mechanism and overall litho is good. Trailer is about 7.5 inches long not counting the hitch. The trailer bed is large - an Arnold Jeep will fit comfortably inside of it. Box is in good condition, but with tears. The cover says "Gama made in German U.S. Zone" (odd that this says U.S. Zone, while tractor says Western Germany -- original to each other or a marriage?). Top of box has a tear on one side and a split along that side for a few inches (picture 5 above), at one end the staples have pulled through at each corner -- but other than the little staple holes the corners are not split; bottom has two small holes - one about the size of a BB, the other about twice that size, all four corners intact. There is a cardboard insert, about half the size of the bottom of the box, I think for the tractor, but it is torn in half with an old cellophane tape repair.

Payment is due within seven days from the end of the auction. If your payment is not received within this time period your order will be canceled and the item relisted. 

Handling time: I do my best to mail packages out the day after I get payment. If I receive payment before 9:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.) I will have it in the mail the next day, except for Sunday because U.S. Post Offices are not open on Sunday.

Shipping: I will ship international.  I only charge actual postage - no added fees. I combine multiple items won by the same person the same week and charge actual postage. I will ship priority or first class. Books ship media mail. Note that on U.S. shipments First Class weight tops out at 13 oz, so I have to go Priority after that (if it's real heavy I'll offer Parcel Post as an option, but usually it only saves a few cents).  Please note, eBay reimbursement guarantees for buyers only apply if you have selected a trackable shipping method -- that means Priority Mail. I've shipped hundreds of packages and never lost a U.S. package. I've had a few international packages go missing -- those were only First Class, no priority packages have ever gotten lost.  I use lots of bubble wrap and peanuts and good boxes. In a group of multiple figures each figure is wrapped individually.  Whenever there is an original box or other original paper item I put that into a plastic bag in case you get delivery on a rainy day.  Please note, for international orders, I am not responsible for delays at customs.

Return Policy:  Returns are accepted within 7 days, so long as item is returned in the condition that it was in when it was sold. If the item was misrepresented I will refund the postage both ways. If the item was not misrepresented, I will refund the purchase price only -- not the shipping paid to get it to you, or for you to return it.

• The following examples of misrepresentation are the only ones that qualify:  statements about a specific, factual element of the toy:  I said the item was vintage and/or original and it turns out to be a new repro, replica, reissue, copy, or fake. I said the item had no repairs and it turns out that it did indeed have repairs, repainting, or replaced parts. I said the item was definitely made by a specific company (like Elastolin, or Lineol, or Marklin, etc.), and it turns out that it was made by a different company.
• The following examples are the kinds of things that do not qualify as misrepresentation:  If you disagree with a qualitative statement like "nice", "great shape", "hardly any wear", "beautiful", "this toy is so cool it will make you sit up and beg for bacon", you know what I mean.  For these kind of qualitative descriptions of the condition of the toy you must rely on the pictures that I've taken. I pay hundreds of dollars a year to eBay for extra pictures in my auction listings.  I try and take pictures of any potential problem areas on a toy.

 I value my eBay reputation and I am not knowingly going to put out false or misleading info on a toy -- if I'm wrong about a fact about the toy I'll refund your money.
