Armed with a powerful 110mm Cassegrain telescope known as the VMC110L, images produced are sharp and clear, where white is seen as white, unlike cheap telescopes which give you many colours when a bright object is viewed. This package comes with a main body known as the Optical Tube Assembly (OTA), a red-dot star finder which helps in easy targeting of stars and a 25mm professional-grade eyepiece.

The OTA or telescope body is made of aluminium and cast iron, unlike various plastic and filmsy telescopes offered in camera shops. Its unique built-in flip mirror allows you to use more than 1 eyepiece at the same time. This is very useful as both an eyepiece and a digital or DSLR camera can be mounted (using optional accessories)!

For prime focus photography, in which a DSLR camera is attached directly to the end of the telescope, this setup offers a fabulous focal length of 1,000mm on 35mm film format! In addition, extra eyepieces can be purchased from us to suit your viewing pleasure at different magnification.

Other than a telescope which has professional quality, this package also comes with a tripod specially designed for stargazing, known as the PORTA mount. This mount is truly the ANSWER to the question of an ideal mount for small telescopes from 60mm to mid-size scopes of 100mm or even more in size! Its load capacity is 5kg, with a self-weight of less than 6kg. This best-selling mount is VERY popular amongst students and beginners in stargazing who lack transportation. Without a car, this mount would be ideal for travelling on bus or the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) trains in Singapore!
