White Tara represents the enlightened and liberating activity of all the Buddhas. She embodies the motherly aspect of universal compassion.

Tibetan thangka painting is a highly developed and important means of religious expression. The deities depicted in the paintings are visual embodiments of aspects of enlightend mind, for example, compassion, wisdom, power, etc. The painting of a Thangka is a religious act on it’s own and is traditionally handpainted by a small and selected pool of trained Tibetan Lamas. The depiction of the deity, it's colors, gestures, proportions and ornaments are strictly governed.

Traditional handpainted Thangka paintings are expensive, printed Thangka paintings are an affortable way for Thangka appreciation and collection by the general public.
