Item Description
144 pages. One of the classics but sadly never read. Selling as currently clearing books in room for more space. Book is in very good condition apart from yellowing pages due to natural aging.

Tien Pao had never seen guns or aeroplanes until the Japanese came and destroyed his village. He escaped up the river with his parents and baby sister, but while they were away looking for food, the sampan broke its moorings and rushed headlong down the roaring river in the night. Suddenly Tien Pao found himself alone in enemy country with only his pet peg for company. This is the dramatic story of his desperate search for his family, in the face of unbelievable difficulties based on a true incident.
