 This is a very finely crafted wooden doll from Burkina faso , west Africa.

This carved wooden figure is known locally as a "Bigga" which translates as BABY , it was carved as a Doll for young children , some girls carry them around their entire childhood until the birth of their own child.

This is a particularly tall and elegant example with very nice incised design and it has been custom mounted to a heavy duty metal display stand , so it is ready for your Home or Office collection of African Art.

The figure measures 17 1/2 inches tall and has a shipping weight of 3 lbs  from 18951 USA via priority mail.  The stand adds some weight!
