14" COMPOSITION SONJA HENIE DOLL
by Madame Alexander - 1939
Composition is excellent on this doll. No repair or damage. What appears to be a crazed line on the face is actually just wayward hairs.
You have to look really, really close to find crazing on this doll. There is one very minute chip to lower lid of right eye. Pupil of right eye is not as distinct as the left, but not crazed yet. All original paint.. Slight skip in left brow.
Blonde human hair wig is still in original set. Curls a little loose in back, but hair is still as it should be. Original lip color. Open mount w/teeth.
Not marked on neck; marked on back: Wendy Ann Mme. Alexander New York. Marked on dress tag: Geniune Sonja Henie Doll....etc.
Pale yellow skating outfit w/(used to be) white boa around hem and sleeves. Boa has discolored, but still nice. Net underneath for fullness even though the net is a little limp from time. Newer panties. Old fabric flower at waist. Dress is made of rayon (?) and has faded over time and wrinkled - up to new owner to iron it if that bothers them.
Old net socks are soiled and could use a little mend. Skates are in fair/poor condition. Blade on one is broken and missing on the other.
She has fiberfill underneath the skirt for presentation in the picture.
A great collectible doll in excellent condition!!!
