Design

Except for the value which is shown in the center, there is a common reverse design with the year at the top, the word SINGAPORE to the right balanced on the left by two stalks of paddy.  Obverse designs of
  • 1ct:      A Singapore multi-storey flat with a fountain in the foreground
  • 5cts:      A snake bird sitting in its nest displaying its feathers
  • 10cts:    A sea horse with a stylised version of seaweed
  • 20cts:    A sword fish on a background reproducing water
  • 50cts:    A lion fish which inhabits tropical waters
  • $1:       A Singapore lion symbol flanked by stalks of paddy
