12 June 2007 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore. The Agreement enables Brunei Dollars and Singapore Dollars to be exchanged at par. As this facilitates bilateral trade and tourism, the Agreement has played a central role in the good relations between the two countries. To commemorate the auspicious occasion, the Brunei Currency and Monetary Board and the Monetary Authority of Singapore are pleased to issue two commemorative notes in a set comprising a $20 polymer note of each country.
