Open edition wildlife art print Rookies signed by artist VIVI CRANDALL. This print is SOLD OUT at the publisher and this copy is an Artist's Proof edition. Rookies features a young wolf and younger rabbit as they pass within feet of each other, neither one really knowing what to do in this situation. Experience counts, we suppose.

Vivi Crandall (1944-2000) was a native of Germany and European trained and is best known for her dramatic, action-filled renderings of wildlife. She had a 20 year career as art director for The Washington Post and then in 1973 moved to Wyoming and settled near Casper. Crandall and her husband became owners of a dude ranch and served as hunting guides, and also became gallery owners, fund raisers for wildlife, and the publishers of Crandall's wildlife prints. Sadly, Vivi Crandall succumbed to cancer in June of 2000, leaving an extensive legacy of much loved and sought after prints and original works.

The photos do not do this print justice. Rookies was published in 1985. Overall print size is approximately 20.5 by 24 inches. This is Artist's Proof number 50/50. A COA is not available. Print condition is excellent, never framed and stored flat in acid-free materials.
