Frame Description:  
This is a new wood picture frame made to accommodate artwork that is 18" x 24" (please note -- the full frame photo is an identical 8" x 10" example).  The moulding from which this frame is made is approximately 5" wide on its face and 2 1/4" thick.  It is a classic profile that is thickest on the outsde and scoops downward toward the opening with of ornamentation along the exterior and interior edges.  The middle portion is finished with a soft, matte black.  The exterior and interior portions are gilded with gold metal leaf and finished with a dark mottled antique which yields a distressed golden / bronze appearance.  This frame is perfect for an oil painting or portrait and can also hold a print with glass.  It would also be beautiful with a mirror which can be provided for a very reasonable additional charge.
