WHAT IS H.I.D? H.I.D stands for "High Intensity Discharge".

In 1995, the community European issued the ECER99 according to the photo electricity parameter and the structure of the metal halide lamp providing by the PHILIPS.

H.I.D Lamps: Luminous flux of a 35W metal halide lamp is above 3200lm, 3 times more than the halogen lamp. As a result, it provided the rule of using the 35W xenon metal halide lamp in the car. Metal halide lamp has many advantages such as: Power save, Brighter brightness, Safety and Longevity.

H.I.D ballasts uses two technology the CPU controller and the ASIC controller.

Now a day, most of the H.I.D ballast uses CPU programming controller technique, the programming is easy to copies & low cost, therefore any engineer could make ballast in his back yard. Using of CPU chip method can’t monitor the power of H.I.D lamps, when lamp become difficult to control then the bulb blow off, or when program run out of control then the ballast will burn off. Input voltage only 9v to 16v which is too low. Lamp voltages range at only 70v to 110v this will shorter the lifespan of the bulb. No real time monitoring and processing speed. CPU working temp 85 to 105centigrade without auto cut off protection.

How to select high quality H.I.D ballast?

Our HID ballasts uses of ASIC chip control technology, they are high quality chips made in Germany (such as PHILIPS, Matsushita & Mitsubishi electric made ballasts). Uses of American IR MOS. Japanese Ruby capacitors and sealed with Japanese silica.

ASIC chip’s working temperature up to 160centigrade with 140centigrade auto cut off protection. Provide Bulb real time monitoring systems and Real time processing speed. Input voltage range from 9v to 32v. Provide wider range of lamp voltage: 70v to 150v able to protect bulb’s life to 2500 hours.
