NEW HANDCRAFTED STERLING SILVER & DICHROIC GLASS PENDANT BLACK & SILVER

Photographs can barely do justice to the dazzling elegance of this brand-new one-of-a-kind pendant handcrafted by Renaissance Glass Studio from .925 sterling silver and dichroic glass. It is diamond shaped, streaked in vivid bands of black and silver with shadings of blue and even pink in its shimmering mysterious depths. The back side is gleaming ebony black to provide a backdrop for the ever-changing colors. Dichroic glass is the result of micro-thin layers of metal oxides within the piece. The light is bent as it enters the piece and returns to your eye as brilliant color. Unlike dyes or pigments, most of the light is reflected back directly to your eye. This accounts for the unusual brilliance of the glass.

Quality and beauty of workmanship are evident from every angle of this exceptionally pretty new pendant, which is the result of a process involving many layers of glass and many steps to arrive at the finished piece. The nature of the process means that no two pieces are alike. It measures approximately 1-3/4 inches high (including the hanging loop) by 3/4 inch wide by 1/4 inch thick.
