Artist Profile

Prabhakara Jimmy Quek, professional artist. Born in Singapore and he is residing in Singapore.

Jimmy started learning art since 1972. He has been practicing arts full time since 1986. He held his first one-man art exhibition in 1987. He has held 11 one-man exhibition in Singapore and New York since then. He is the winner of First Prize IBM Art Award Singapore, 1988.

He has participated in more than 80 group exhibitions. His paintings traveled far to Washington DC, New York, Indianapolis, Dallas, Los Angeles, Honolulu, United Kingdom,  Beijing, Shanghai, Quanzhou, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Yokohama, Kobe, Sapporo Fukuoka, Osaka, Thailand, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Indonesia.

He is invited to exhibit his painting at the Olympic Arts Festival 2004 at Washington DC, USA. His arts are featured in many publications, as well as reported in newspapers.

His works are in the collections of Singapore Art Museum, corporations, statemen, diplomats, art collectors and art lovers worldwide.
