| A rare Keeling Cocos Islands red plastic rupee and a 50 cents in aqua. In all my years I've never owned the complete set. The rupee is BU and the 50 cents about XF. The Ross family issued tokens like these over the years to pay plantation workers. Since they had to be used at the local store, it helped keep the money in the family. In the United States, the same was done on plantations in the post Civil War South. Authenticity guaranteed. |
