Origin Bioglo Rose Hip Oil is derived from a rose belonging to the Rosacea family and Rosoidea sub-family that grows in the southern Andes of South America. It is botanically classified as Rosa aff. rubiginosa, but natives call it Rosa Mosqueta. This species is valued for its rich concentration of active elements. When the pink petals of the rose drop away, they are replaced by a fruit. This fruit is high in vitamin C. Seeds from this "rose hip" fruit contain polyunsaturated oils with special properties for skin renewal.

Cultivation
LABORATORIOS COESAM of Chile cultivates Rosa Mosqueta on a private plantation, using organic methods that preserve the natural ecosystem of Chile's southern zone. Yes. Laboratorios Coesam extracts the oil directly from the seeds of the Rosa Mosqueta fruit, which are cultivated following strict natural culture norms. How is the oil used for various skin types?

No, the oil is not formulated for tanning. However, you may apply it before applying your sun-bathing lotion. Can the oil be used around the eyes?
The oil is specially indicated for the eye area, to treat expression lines and crows feet. Apply the oil sparingly and not too close to the eye. If some gets into the eye, rinse immediately. A slight irritation may result.

What is the lifespan of the oil?
If unopened, the oil in its original packaging has a minimum life span of two years, provided it is not exposed to excessive temperatures and direct sunlight. Once opened, we suggest using it within 90 days.


How does sunlight and heat affect the oil?
Any natural oil becomes rancid when exposed to contaminants and external factors such as heat and direct sunlight. The result is a strong unpleasant odor. Even if this happens, Bioglo Rose Hip Oil retains its favorable moisturizing and regenerative effects on the skin.


Is the oil supposed to have a strong smell.
Rose Hip Oil naturally has a distinct scent, but if the smell is too strong or unpleasant, the oil might have become oxydized or rancid. Check the expiry date. If it hasn't expired, it can still be used (even if it has become slightly rancid) because the properties of the oil remain unchanged.


Can the oil be consumed?
The oil is a cosmetic product, it is not designed nor recommended for oral consumption.


May I use the oil on my pet?

Can I be sure that it will not cause any allergy?
Even hypoallergenic products only guarantee a 95% chance of not producing allergies in the environment in which they where tested, leaving the remaining 5% to the personal characteristics of each consumer.
