On auction is a rare & classic Ping Eye2 Beryllium Copper Red Dot 3-iron with the famous square grooves, undoubtedly one of the best "game improvement clubs" ever made by PING. The Ping Eye2 Red Dot 3-iron has extreme perimeter weighting, which increases the clubs' effective hitting area and optimizes forgiveness for those "less than perfect" shots. In addition, it also feature an innovative sole design that helps push perimeter weighting to the extreme and reduces the surface area in contact with the turf at impact...meaning better feeling and more crisp golf shots! 

 

The tarnished clubhead are made from heat treated Beryllium Copper. This material, used in the aerospace industry will darken with age. It provides an unmatched soft feel with unparalleled feedback. Presently, the BeCu copper irons are no longer available from Ping for environmental reasons.

 

Installed with Ping ZZ-Lite steel shaft, BeCu clubhead, Serial No. 42129. Patent No. D276644, Ping DYLA grip.
