More About Your Cartridge

All the Fittings Supplied

The pack has everything you require to ensure an easy, smooth changeover.

Our standard fitting fits all fridges with 1/4" plastic water hose. This is the UK’s most common size and it's unlikely that your fridge is different. However if you do have a different tube size that's no problem at all.

We can quickly send you a simple, high quality converter for £3.95. You would only need to buy this once.

Plus New Cable Ties

We have also added two new cable ties to your pack - at no extra cost. Many external fridge filters are attached using these. We have provided them in response to requests from our customers

Types of Fittings We Use

We use compression type fittings. These are the screw types - as on the original Samsung filter - rather than the push fit types.

The reason we don't favour push type fittings is that - over time - they can damage your plastic tube. This can lead to leaks.

The new connectors take seconds to fit and are better for you long term.


Changing the Filter

This will only take a couple of minutes. It is a very simple job. No plumber should be required. It's like changing a light bulb.

The filter then needs to be changed every 6 months.

Filter Size

The filter is 2” diameter and 12”” long.



Reminders to Change

The indicator light on your fridge will go on after 6 months. This alert is set on a timer and is not related to the amount of water used.

Regardless of the amount used, once the filter has had water inside it, it should be changed after 6 months to prevent a build up of potentially harmful bacteria.

We will send you a free reminder when it's time to change. However there is no obligation to buy the new one from us.



Fridge Filter Performance

Your filter will give you the freshest tasting purified water. It uses the latest activated carbon filtration technology to significantly reduce impurities, dirty particulates and any bad odours that can be carried in normal tap water.

It meets all the requirements of the strict international NSF standard

The minimum and maximum water pressure for these filters is between 1 and 6 bar - which is well within average normal UK mains water pressure levels.

Life capacity of the filter is 1,500 Gallon (ie 5,700 Litres). This is well within normal household usage over 6 months.


What it Removes

The filter uses Granular Activated Carbon technology to remove chlorine residues and unpleasant tastes and odours. Like the original filter it turns your mains supply into refreshing, purified, healthy water - on tap 24 / 7.
