An English, "classical" style, pottery jug, dating to c.1850-70. Lustre decoration showing an embracing couple, titled "The Meeting of Ulysses and Penelope", on both sides of the jug. "Greek key" pattern around the border and moulded leaves to the top and base of the handle. Measuring 8.75" high. Unmarked on the base. In perfect condition. The glare on the picture is from my photography, not on the jug !
