Photographs can barely do justice to the adorable quality of this whimsical Story-Time figurine by Robert Olszewski from the Disney Showcase Collection. (Click to enlarge the photos shown here.) Inspired by Walt Disney's Bambi, and licensed by Disney, “Try Some of These” features Bambi and Thumper standing in a forest glade, in a patch of green clover. Thumper is obviously trying to coax his deer friend into trying a bite or two of this delicious treat, while Bambi regards his long-eared buddy and the greenery with wide-eyed wonder.

Quality and beauty of workmanship are evident from every angle of this exceptionally detailed miniature scene, which comes complete with the original box and a Certificate of Authenticity. Internationally acclaimed artist Robert Olszewski's creations begin as a wax sculpture from which a master mold is made. Then a limited edition is cast using a mixture of pewter, bronze, and resin. Finally, each piece is meticulously handpainted. “Try Some of These” is from a limited edition of 2750. It originally retailed for $135. The figurine you are bidding on here has been opened but never displayed, and it comes from a smoke-free home in its original box. It makes a gorgeous gift, for yourself or that special Disney fan!
