Qing Dynasty green glazed pottery parrot statue.  A toy whistle?

This piece of beautiful green glazed pottery parrot statue is made in 

Kang Xi (AD1662 - 1723) period of Chinese Qing Dynasty (AD1644 - 1911). 

It could be a piece of ancient toy. There is a round hole at the back of parrot,

which could be used to insert a stick to hold the parrot. Other even

 suggest the statue is a toy whistle and hole is used to blow.

Dimension: height 74mm, depth at bottom 29.7mm width at middle 26.2mm

In ancient, Chinese Merchants use Junks to carry porcelains and Chinese coins

to trade for spices and precious stones with Javanese, Indonesia

 This piece of bowl is a good reference for those who study

 the ancient maritime archaeology of Chinese history.
