Ming Dynasty Blue and White glaze cup unearthed from Indonesia

This piece of beautiful blue and white glazed cup is made in 

Hong Zhi (AD1488 -1505) period of Chinese Ming Dynasty (AD1368 - 1644),

On the outer body is the symbolic "bird rest on a twig" pattern. 

There are circles at outer and inner rims as well as center of inner body .

Inside the circle is a small twig with fruit  . 

There is also an interesting kiln mark at bottom, apparently like a Phags-pa

 inscription which usually appears on Yuan Dynasty porcelain.

The body of this cup is very thin and it is well preserved with only a tiny 

chip off  at bottom rim.

Dimension: foot ring outer diameter 23mm, height 35.5mm and top rim 57mm.

In ancient, Chinese Merchants use Junks to carry porcelains and Chinese coins

to trade for spices and precious stones with Javanese, Indonesia

 This piece of bowl is a good reference for those who study

 the ancient maritime archaeology of Chinese history.
