Setting up a collection is easy, just use the HMS GENERIC COLLECTOR WIZARD. The Wizard contains default templates for many common collectibles and will instantly create a collection, customized for that type of collectible with field names and default values for your lookups. The best thing about HMS GENERIC COLLECTOR is that it is fully customizable so after the Wizard has setup a collection, you can tweak it to your exact needs or if you do not find the specific type of collection in the Wizard database you can set up your own collection from scratch.

This module allows you to have as many collections as you wish, each customized to a particular type of collectable. There are 50 fields of information that can be set up as needed for your collection. Select from our standard reports, which include Market Value (great for insurance purposes), Cost Report, Want Lists, Sell Lists, Sold Items (with profit/loss by date range), Purchase Report (by date range), and Specific Asset. Our new Category reports allow you to evaluate and sub-total your collection by the customized sorting methods you select for each collection. You can also design your own reports to include only the data you wish. Add pictures of your collectables and include detailed memos.

The following screen shots show HMS GENERIC COLLECTOR set up for a collection of lighthouses, however this software can be customized for any type of collection. 

The screen shot above shows the Changing record screen. From this screen you can view all the pertinent information about an item in your collection, enter any specific notations on the Memo tab, attach pictures and enter any selling information on the Disposal tab. There is a User tab that allows you to customize up to twelve additional fields.

Through the use of our customized templates, this screen is specifically tailored for each collection you set up.

The screen shot above shows how a picture can be attached to each item in your collection. You can attach up to four pictures to each item in your collection.

The screen shot above shows some of the setup features that are used to customize each of your collection screens. Create up to five additional sorting sequences, turn on and off standard features, and add up to twelve more customized fields.

In addition to the standard reports that come with HMS GENERIC COLLECTOR, you can also create your own customized reports with only the specific information you wish. The two screen shots above show how these custom reports can be created.

The screen shot above shows the Import Database utility which allows you import an existing collection from another software program into HMS GENERIC COLLECTOR.
