Alcotec 48-Hour Yeast is extremely alcohol and temperature tolerant strain. It is a dual function yeast that is complete with needed nutrients. Package produces 25L (6.6 gallons) of beer, wine or cider. It can reach 14% alcohol in 48 hours and 20% alcohol in 5 days.

This type of yeast is also known as ‘Distiller’s Yeast’ because of its ability to rapidly create a high alcohol content. This yeast is not being sold with the intention to distill alcohol as this may be an illegal practice in your area. The Alcotec 48-Hour yeast can be used in natural fermentations without the purpose of further distillation. An activated carbon filter is recommended after fermentation to enhance the smoothness of the flavor.
