These hard wood "factory" spools used in textile mills were the only option in the 1800's

The largest is 9.5" x 5." and has metal rims.

The next largest is 9." x 4." and is stamped on its green end:

DIXON MAKE

The third is 7.25" x 3.5" and the smallest is 7." x 3."

and has old green paint on its ends.
