Seller ID: bridport37 Beautiful handpainted Chinese porcelain bowl on indigo blue ground. Lovely lobe-shaped form with flared sides and high foot. Nicely potted, translucent and very finely decorated with the sacred lotus scrolls. Size: 7-7/8" x 5-5/8" x 2-1/2". Marked on the base Da Qing Tongzhi Nian Zhi. Circa: late 19th C. This piece sits well and displays beautifully. A nice big piece to display. The wooden stand is not included.
Condition: Good. Minimal wear is observed on the exterior of bowl. Floral sprig on the base of the interior is quite worn through usage. Faint old crosswire hairline crack to the glaze on the base which does not penetrate through the bowl and is not visible from the inside (illustrated). Old chip to unglazed foot rim, smoothened with age. Elsewhere, no crazing/cracks observed.
