Seller ID: bridport37 Beautiful handpainted Chinese Export Canton Plate with celadon green glaze ground. Robustly potted and nicely decorated in the famille rose pallette with butterflies, birds, amidst flowering and fruiting branches. The underside is undecorated. Diamater 8.75". Marked in underglazed cobalt blue. Circa: late 19th C. This is a heavy fella ......sits well and displays beautifully. A fine piece to add to your collection.
Condition: Very Good. Minimal wear is observed on enamels. No major fleabites or chips on the rims. Elsewhere, no crazing/cracks/hairlines observed. Base is somewhat untidy with visible kiln grit.
