12-Volt Solar Auto Battery Charger

Just my reviews about this car solar charger :

• I had tried it out on my spare 12-Volt car battery at home, placing the charger outside the window.
• The charger light started to blink as early as 7am, and last till well past 7 pm.
• When it started to rain, the blinking light continued to function normally. 
• One need not worry about the charger having to keep indoor when raining.
• The only weak point is that the connecting cable to the charger was also exposed to the sun harmful rays. I thought of a solution by wraping the exposed length of the cable with aluminium foil.  Any one with better ideas....?
• One experience with a recent buyer. When he pulled the solar panel halfway from the box to check, the charging light started to blink, while the charger translucent plastic warping had not been removed yet !. Time was 1645pm, sunset condition !
• "This truly indicates the charger effectiveness" !
• If your car cigaretter lighter point can only have power with key in "on" position, then one solution is to modify it or tap a line from the fuse panel that is always with power independant of the key switch position. 
• I can install the charging cable with alligator clips (clips removed) using connection to the door light socket point, for a nominal fee of $10 only... at my location.
• I figured out that this method of connection would be more effective, compared with plugging to the car cigarette socket. The blinking LED on the cigaretter adapter would drain off a portion of the solar energy meant for battery charging.
